DTace Tutorials > Using Probability Check
Probability check is a tool that checks the outcome probabilities of each chance node. If the sum of probabilities do not add up to 1, you will be notified which node has a problem.
To start probability check, click the Probability Check button on the ribbon.
In the decision tree shown below, node chance 2 has two end nodes emanating from it. The probabilities are 0.5 for End 4 and 0.4 for End 5. All chance nodes should have their outcomes equal a probability of 1.
Let's run the probability check. After clicking the Probability Check button on the ribbon, the following window will appear.
If a node's child probabilities do not sum to 1, edit the child node probabilities to correct the problem.
